Barbecues (BBQ) and Fires in Parks

To ensure safety for everyone, the Town has strict rules about using barbecues and fires in parks and on beaches.

What’s Not Allowed:

  • Open fires, for any purpose.
  • Solid fuel barbecues, like charcoal.
  • Leaving a barbecue unattended.
  • Not properly extinguishing your barbecue after use.
  • Disposing of embers or ashes in parks or along the waterfront. 

Failure to follow these rules may result in fines.

What’s Allowed:

  • Barbecues in designated grass areas and pavilion spaces.
  • Propane or gas barbecues.
