You will need to provide your licence plate number to Town Hall staff for the vehicle in violation to prevent a delay in processing your payment.
Beach and Waterfront Parking
The entire waterfront has enforced paid parking to ensure order and safety for vehicles, pedestrians, and residents.
Parking Fees:
Hours of Paid Parking:
- Daily from 9 AM to 5 PM
- May 15 to October 15.
Parking Rates:
- Hourly: $7.00
- Daily: $35.00
Additional Information:
- Veterans: Vehicles with a Veteran’s licence plate are exempt from paid parking

How to Pay for Parking
Pay at the Waterfront Parking Machines
- Enter your licence plate number
- Machines track payment and issue a receipt
- Machines are located throughout the waterfront area

- Coins: Quarters, loonies, toonies (exact change only)
- Card Payments: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Debit
- Contactless: Interac Flash, Apple Pay, Android Pay

- Available via the App Store or Google Play
Important Parking Notes:
- All parking fees are non-refundable.
- Payment applies to all parking spots, including accessible parking spaces.
What if i lost my parking ticket?
What if I want to dispute my ticket?
Request a Trial:
- Sign the back of your ticket and deliver or mail it to Town Hall within 15 days of the infraction.
- It will be forwarded for a trial at the Ontario Provincial Court of Justice.
What if I have an unpaid parking ticket?
Once you receive a Parking Ticket, you have 15 days to decide whether to pay or dispute the ticket.
After 15 Days:
- You’ll get a Notice of Impending Conviction (NIC) in the mail, including a due date, reminding you about the unpaid ticket.
Missed Payment Deadline:
- If you miss the NIC due date, your infraction is sent to the Provincial Offences Office (1 Courthouse Square, Goderich, ON) for collection.
- At this point, the Town can no longer accept payment.

- Once your infraction is with the Provincial Offences Office, you will receive instructions directly from them regarding how to proceed.
