Safe to swim?

To decide if it's safe to swim, consider these prompts:

1. Is the water cloudy?
   • If you can't see your feet while standing in waist-deep water, it may not be safe.
2. Was there heavy rain recently?
   • Rain in the last 24 to 48 hours can raise E. coli levels, making it unsafe to swim.

If you answer "yes" to either question, it's best to stay out of the water.
