Development Charges
Development charges are fees collected by the Town to help cover the cost of new infrastructure needed due to growth. This ensures new developments contribute to the town's facilities and services. For comprehensive information, refer to the Development Charges By-Law.
Development Charges Background Study:
Every five years, the Town must review and adjust these charges through a Development Charges Background Study. This study sets the rates included in the Development Charges By-Law.
Annual Financial Statements:
As outlined under Section 43(1) of the Development Charges Act, each year, the Treasurer provides a financial statement about the development charges reserve fund. This ensures transparency and accountability in how funds are managed.
