Traffic Calming Requests
Understanding the Need:
Concerns about speeding and aggressive driving on residential streets, especially near schools, parks, and hospitals, have been raised by both the public and Council.
Submit a Traffic Calming Request:
Residents with traffic-related concerns are instructed to complete a Traffic Calming Request Form to investigate traffic calming on their road or within their neighborhood. Upon completion, staff will then conduct a brief preliminary assessment to determine if the requested road meets the initial screening criteria.
Traffic Calming Policy:
The Traffic Calming Policy provides a clear process for initiating, investigating, and implementing measures to reduce traffic issues on municipal roads. It ensures consistent criteria for handling traffic calming requests.
