Vacant Councillor Seat
At the October 16, 2023 Regular Council Meeting, Council declared one (1) Councillor seat vacant, and at the October 23, 2023 Special Council Meeting, Council approved an Appointment Procedure for filling a Council Vacancy on Goderich Town Council by Call for Nominees.

Appointment Application Process - CLOSED
Any interested eligible individuals looking to apply must complete and submit the following documentation (attachments available below):
- Nomination Form and Declaration of Qualifications and Proof of Eligibility
- Consent to Release Personal Information (MFIPPA)
- Questionnaire
- Personal Statement of Qualification (optional) - must include the following:
- Typewritten
- 12-point font
- Letter size paper (8 ½” x 11”)
- Does not exceed 2 pages in length
- Applicants name and address
Applicants must provide the Clerk with valid government issued ID along with the above noted documentation in person during regular business hours (8 - 4 PM Monday - Friday) at Town Hall, 57 West Street, Goderich from October 24, 2023 - November 10, 2023 (12:00 PM Noon).
Important dates:
- Application deadline - Friday, November 10, 2023 (by 12 PM Noon)
- Withdrawal of Application - Friday, November 10, 2023 (by 12 PM Noon)
- Special Council Meeting - Monday, November 20, 2023 at 9:00 AM
