Council and Staff Expenses

Stay Informed on Public Spending:

The Town of Goderich is committed to transparency in how public funds are used, ensuring both accountability and openness in our operations.

Expense Reimbursement:

  • For Mayor and Council Members:

    • Expenses incurred while performing official duties are reimbursed.
  • For Staff:

    • Business-related expenses are reimbursed to support their roles.

Expense Reporting:

Reports on expenses are published every quarter.

These reports are presented to the Council about a month after each quarter ends and are then posted online for public access.

Annual Council Remuneration and Expenses:

As required by the Municipal Act, 2001, an annual report on Council remuneration and expenses is released by March 31 each year.
