Waterfront Parking
Paid parking at the waterfront is in effect 7 days per week between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. from May 15 to October 15 inclusive.
Hourly rate $5.00 per hour
Daily rate $25.00 per day
Season Permit $60.00 + hst (one car per permit)
Additional Resident Season Permits (2 free permits with proof of residency) - $25.00 +hst
Daily/hourly parking fees may be paid by using our waterfront parking machines. At the time of payment, you will be required to input your licence plate number.
The parking machines electronically maintain the status of the parking fee, a receipt will be issued by the machine once payment is made.
The parking machines are located at various locations along the waterfront and accept quarters, loonies and toonies (exact change only) as well as:
Contact - Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Debit
Contactless - Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Interact Flash, ApplePay and AndroidPay
Parking fees may also be paid by using the Passport Canada Parking App.

All parking fees are non-refundable.

How To Buy A Waterfront Season Permit |
Waterfront season permits can be purchased for $60.00 +HST per vehicle. The permit is valid seven days a week from May 15 - October 15 (inclusive). To purchase a Waterfront Season Permit please use the portal below. To register:

How to Register for Resident Waterfront Parking Permit(s) |
The Town of Goderich residents are eligible for two free waterfront parking permits per household with proof of residency. To register for these permits, please use the parking portal below. Once you have registered, your permit will be automatically renewed annually. Steps to Online Parking Permit Registration
Please allow up to 3 business days to process and approve your permit request depending on service level demands. Once your permits are approved, the authorized vehicles may park at the waterfront. There will not be a paper permit issued. Authorized vehicle data is maintained electronically by the Town's waterfront parking system. Residents are responsible for updating vehicle information related to their parking permit as changes occur by contacting Town Hall at 519-524-8344 or by updating their waterfront parking permit account. Additional Seasonal Waterfront Resident Parking Permits are available for purchase through the same permit portal for a fee of $25 plus hst. These additional permits are valid for one season only. How to Pay a Waterfront Parking Ticket Online |
The Town of Goderich offers the convenience of paying waterfront parking tickets online. It is quick, easy and secure. Users can pay parking tickets 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by using the Payment Portal below.
Waterfront parking infraction tickets issued in the past 30 days are eligible to be paid using this service. If the waterfront parking infraction ticket has been sent to court for collection, payments cannot be processed online. Before you start please have the following items available before starting your transaction:
A non-refundable convenience fee of $2.50 per ticket is charged by Gtechna, the Town's online ticket payment provider. Each ticket must be entered separately. |
How To Pay a Waterfront Parking Ticket In Person or by Mail |
Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. By cash , cheque or debit at Town Hall, 57 West Street, Goderich ON N7A 2K5 Make cheque payable to "Town of Goderich" After Hours - By cheque in the Town Hall after hours drop box (do not put cash in the box). Your waterfront parking infraction ticket is required with payment For lost/misplaced parking infraction tickets, you will need to provide the licence plate number for the vehicle in violation to prevent a delay in processing your payment. |
How To Dispute A Waterfront Parking Ticket |
If you wish to request a trial option - Notice of Intention to Appear in Court, you will need to sign the back of the ticket and mail it to the address indicated such that it is received within 30 days of date of the infraction. The ticket will be forwarded to the Ontario Provincial Court of Justice for trial. |
