Barbecues and Fires in Parks
To ensure safety for everyone, the Town has strict rules about using barbecues and fires in parks and on beaches.
What’s Not Allowed:
- Open fires, for any purpose.
- Solid fuel barbecues, like charcoal.
- Leaving a barbecue unattended.
- Not properly extinguishing your barbecue after use.
- Disposing of embers or ashes in parks or along the waterfront.
Failure to follow these rules may result in fines.
What’s Allowed:
- Barbecues in designated grass areas and pavilion spaces.
- Propane or gas barbecues.
