Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) Notice of Participation
The Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) is an intergovernmental trade agreement signed by Canadian Ministers that entered into force on July 1st, 2017. Its objective is to reduce and eliminate, to the extent possible, barriers to the free movement of persons, goods, services, and investments within Canada and to establish an open efficient, and stable domestic market. The Agreement requires any municipality wanting to participate in a buying group to publish a declaration of its intent. If you are enrolled in one or more Local Authorities Services (LAS) programs, then your municipality is considered to be participating in a buying group. Therefore, the Town of Goderich makes the following declaration:
The Corporation of the Town of Goderich intends to participate in one or more procurements conducted by Local Authority Services (LAS) between January 1, 2025, to December 30, 2025.
