Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) Notice of Participation

The Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) is a national agreement that started on July 1, 2017, by Canadian Ministers. It aims to minimize barriers for the free movement of people, goods, services, and investments throughout Canada, creating a more open and stable domestic market.

Per the agreement, any municipality wanting to join a buying group must announce its intentions. If you're part of any Local Authorities Services (LAS) programs, your municipality is seen as part of a buying group.

Participation Announcement:

The Town of Goderich plans to take part in several procurement activities with Local Authority Services (LAS) from January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026.
