Environmental Services

Environmental Services recommends, develops and carries out various assigned programs on behalf of the Town such as solid waste, sewer and water, energy management, etc. This also includes monitoring Town operations for compliance with Federal and Provincial regulations, guidelines and initiatives relating to the environment and provide recommendations.

Recommend, plan and implement programs to improve both source water protection and nearshore lake water quality in cooperation with other environmental and conservation agencies.

Undertake studies and provides advice and assistance to the Environmental Committee and Council as requested.

Research funding sources for the Town's environmental initiatives and prepare related proposals.

Assists in the management of contract(s) for the operation of the Town's Water and Sewage Treatment Plants.

Create and deliver public education programs with respect to environmental protection and resource conservation.
