Welcome to our airport. We are located on beautiful Lake Huron 2.5 km north of the Town of Goderich which is known as the prettiest town in Canada, and a multiple winner of Communities in Bloom awards.
The terminal building is open every day of the week: 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Coffee is always on in the terminal and you can sit out on the patio deck and enjoy watching the takeoffs and landings or take the scenic Maitland Trail into Goderich or to the beach. We have some courtesy bicycles available; please call ahead to make arrangements for weekend use.
Our paved runways are long and wide and we boast that we have the smoothest grass runway you have ever landed on.
Fly into the airport and go golfing at the Maitland and/or Sunset Golf course or try your luck fishing in the Maitland River. If you're really lucky you may even see one of the many WWII aircraft arriving to be painted at Sky Harbour Aircraft.
In the terminal building, we have a small museum dedicated to the students of EFTS #12 who trained here during WWII. This is well worth visiting.
The Sky Harbour Gallery traces the history of the airport from its founding in 1938 to the present day. Particular emphasis has been placed on the important role played by the airport during the Second World War. Admission is by donation and is open year round. For information call 519-524-2686 or 519-524-2915
